Which lesson is right for you

The difference between our three lessons is how much of an instructor's attention you get. A group lesson puts five to seven surfers with one instructor and is the least expensive way to try surfing. Semi-private caps the class at two to four people, so corrections come every few waves rather than every few minutes. A private lesson is one-to-one, and is what most people book when they want to progress quickly, are nervous in the water, or are travelling with a child who needs constant supervision.

What every session includes

Board, wetsuit, an instructor who stays in the water with you, showers and a locker with a key at the base. Semi-private and private lessons also include a photographer at no extra cost, so you leave with pictures of your own waves rather than someone else's.

Where the lessons happen

Agadir Bay is a long, sandy, gently shelving beach. There is no reef and no rock, the whitewater runs a long way in, and the bay is sheltered enough to be surfable across the whole year. That combination is why beginners in Morocco are usually sent here rather than to the reefs further north.

Questions we are asked

Do I need to be able to swim to take a surf lesson in Agadir?

You should be comfortable in water at chest depth. Beginner lessons take place in the whitewater close to shore, where you can stand, and your instructor stays in the water beside you for the whole session.

Is equipment included in the price?

Yes. A board and a wetsuit in your size are included in every lesson, along with showers and a locker with a key at the base.

How far in advance should I book?

Availability is shown live on our booking page. In July, August and over the Christmas and Easter weeks the earlier slots fill first, so book a day or two ahead if you want a specific time.

Can I pay in cash?

Yes. You can pay cash on arrival — no card is needed to reserve a slot.
